7 Days of Uprising

When I began this blog my intention was to discuss linguistic topics related to the Arabic language. However, I could not resist sharing my impressions since I have been visiting family in Egypt and experiencing history in the making.
Since the Internet has been shut down by the regime, I am using a land line to update this blog through a trusted person.
The Mubarak regime is facing public defiance that was never expected. The demonstrations are continuing in Egyptian cities for the 7th day. The government is trying to isolate Egypt from the whole world, however information is propagating despite all efforts by the regime to suppress it.
Tomorrow we will have the March of Millions to demonstrate the resolution of the protesters. I see this as a key point. Will there be change, more bloodshed, or both ?
